Petition Letter: As of September 2017,
If my appeal is granted, and I am able to take courses at a another host university (York University) for the fall. I would like to take two chemistry courses (concentration) and two electives (electives). The two chemistry courses would most likely be Organic chemistry (second year course) and General chemistry (first year course).
The reason for this is because I would still like to continue studying what I enjoy and I believe that out of all the chemistry courses that I have took during the past two years at Queen's University, I knew that I could achieve a much higher grade for both of these courses. Furthermore, having a lighter course load (4 out of the 5 recommended loads) during the fall term is reasonable in my opinion in order to adjust for the change of institution and to be able to focus on my core courses in order to obtain a higher GPA.
Ultimately, I will be in contact with both an academic counsellor at York University as well as an academic adviser from Queen's weekly, in order to ensure that the degree requirements is fully met in order to attain my Bachelor of Sciences (Honours) degree.
Due to these changes, I would be expecting to graduate
