Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean,
I would like to appeal to the my English 200 final exam grade. I am not sure if it is over the 21-day period for appeal the professor did not specify which day she released the grades on. I found out about my grade on the 13th of May. My grandmother passed away during the end of March. This was the sixth close family I've lost over the past year and since then, my emotions have been very unstable. I made frequent visits to the school psychiatrist since then but I was still unable to completely grasp my feelings. During the month of April, I lost around 8 pounds of weight and lost sleep. During exam season, I was beginning to get my focus back but on the day before the final exam of English 200, my grandfather called and that saying he doesn't know where he should go. This unset my emotions drastically and I didn't have enough time to adjust my emotions before the beginning of exam.
I would like to appeal for a reconsideration, if possible. Or an agrotat standing in the course.
