Petition Letter: I wish to continue my studies and have my Psych 100 removed from my academic file, for the following reasons:
1) In November 2016, my husband had an appendix attack and on the same day had to have an emergency surgery. This caused him to be in bed, with no lifting over 10 lbs. Having two little ones (a 5 year old and an 8 month old at the time) this caused a lot of stress and more duties for me. In January, I contacted the school to be removed from the course. I was told I couldn't be reimbursed and that dropping the course would show on my academic file. This made me re-think my decision and I chose to continue my studies versus losing out.
2) At the end of January my best friends/maid of honours husband was placed in a medically induced coma while in New Brunswick for work (home town Angus, Ontario). The doctors proceeded to tell her he would need a double lung transplant. This caused our immediate family lots of pain and my focus was fully on her and how I could help her situation. My wedding was set for July 22nd 2017, and Brad Reid sadly passed away the night of our wedding..
3)Also in February, my mother's cousin passed and this caused heart ache for our family.
I am asking for my course to be dropped from my file in order to continue forward with my studies. Please consider my request in wishing to stay with Queen's University's ONLINE program.
Thank you
