Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hello,

I am requesting to have my Statistics 263 course withdrawn from my transcript as I called and spoke to David Youssef about dropping the course before the academic penalty date because my mother suffered a brain aneurysm. I was enrolled in a full-course load and wanted to lessen my work to cope with the changes in my family. David advised me to stay in the course and he would talk to Professor Molson about my circumstance because I had already completed the midterm and had done very well. He advised me that if I wished to write the final at a later date I could do so or else I could drop the course as result of my circumstance. I am currently enrolled full-time this semester and have decided to retake statistics from the start as I did not have time to address the course this summer and do not want to become overwhelmed with studying for an extra exam.
