Instructor's Name: Bill Cannon
Petition Letter
Petition Letter: I would like to drop COMM324 and ECON222 while adding COMM323. The reason I am doing this after the September 22nd deadline is that the instructor for COMM323 (Bill Cannon) only granted me permission to take the course for credit on Thursday, September 27th, after I had previously requested admission into the class. His previous grounds for refusal were that I did not meet the prerequisites, but after I had audited the class for a few weeks he changed his mind and sent me an email granting me permission.
Prior to Dr. Cannon¿¿s approval, I enrolled in COMM324 and ECON222 as a means of substituting for his course in terms of both content and workload.
I think it would be reasonable for this course swap to occur and also that it occurs without incurring excess fees. That is, ignoring the 50/course fee penalty associated with dropping courses at this time. My justification being that if I had permission to enroll prior to the September 22nd deadline, I would have made this course swap then and only paid the fees associated with enrolling in COMM323.
Thank you,
Ian Harbell

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: Being a Post Degree student my academic plan is set purely out of interest and value-added knowledge. COMM323 has already been an excellent course while I have audited it and fits well into my goals for Post Degree study. COMM324 and ECON222 do not offer the same polished enrichment for which I am looking.
Thank you,
Ian Harbell
