Petition Letter: I've decided to minor in sociology, but since it is a full year course I would rather work hard to catch up now, rather than wait a full year just to start the (1st year) course in my 4th year. I also have the prof's consent to join the course late as I've already made it clear to him that I'm appealing to join his course this late in the year.

Academic Plan: I've already been studying the course on my own time (as I have peers who take, or have taken, the course) so I'm confident that I can succeed if the appeal is successful.
