Petition Letter: Coming into this year, I was apprehensive about the transition and I anticipated that having five core courses as my subject load would have made the adjustment period that much more difficult, so I declined to enroll in POLS110 during the initial enrolment period over the summer and took DRAM100 instead. A few weeks in, I realized that the academic transition was much easier than I had anticipated. Furthermore, I instantly disliked drama but did not want to write it off too early as I wanted stay committed, not knowing that the deadline to add a course was September 22nd. When I finally realized drama was definitely not for me, it was by then too late by academic regulations, which brings me to my current predicament. I am passionate about politics and I will likely take it on as a minor if I am admitted into this sole prerequisite course.
Academic Plan
Academic Plan: Seeing as though I am extremely behind, I've started going to lectures so as to continue the process of catching up on what I have missed. I have several friends who are all diligent students and are currently in the course and they have offered me their detailed notes that they have taken during lectures thus far. I have already caught up on all the lecture notes and readings. I was forwarded the lecture slides so I would be able to view them for myself. Furthermore, they have agreed to assist me and go through the lecture material once again so as to prepare for the upcoming Midterm Test scheduled for this week which I am feel confident to take. They also made me aware of an essay due at the end of the semester which they just recently began working on and I have already chosen a topic and am beginning my outline to submit to my TA if I am admitted into the course.
