Petition Letter: Hi,

I am requesting an appeal for an extension of my incomplete exam for BIO 102 to be able to complete the exam in January 2018 in second semester. I took this course over the summer but my health condition worsened starting in July/August. When I got back to school I was aware of 4 conditions mainly for years, my panic disorder being on 2 different medications and my ADHD becoming a lot worst being on the medication Ritalin, along with my symptoms of OCD. Lastly, my extreme condition of anemia usually in¿ the level of single numbers. There are periods where I would have to take the shoots everyday for week while taking 3 pills of Fera-Max, a pill people with low iron can typically just survive with on daily. I was not able to write the final exam that was extended to be written during first semester because of the circumstances and being in the hospital several times a week unable to walk or stay awake during the summer, unfortunately it got worst during first semester as my doctor would not check for seizures during the summer as we requested so I remained only on extremely high dosages of addictive medications that the doctors at KGH were shocked that I could be on at my age and begged me to be an impatient. I denied the request so I could still make it to classes, as they tested for seizures with the several test MRI, EEG and heart test, they discovered I did have unknown onset seizures that were inside where I go unconscious previously I would collapse in streets, even in front of buses, or on campus but throughout the semester even though we found out that my panic disorder has been mostly unconscious seizures I still chose to work hard throughout the semester and not leave as suggested, I only lowered my course load. I was unable to write the exam that was suppose to be pushed to first semester because of being in KGH every week, my previous conditions worsening and seizures which typically after a seizure I have to go back to sleep for at least 3 hours There were points I wold have 8 seizures a day. Although, this is a lot Michelle Galant, the Dean Dr.Benard, Tess Grant,¿ Caroline Teske and my doctor at student Wellness Elizabeth Nguyen has done everything to help me but I was still unable to be well enough to complete the exam this semester. I am requesting to write the exam in January second semester please. I am now on medication for my seizures and still for my other medical conditions. Although I am not completely better there has been improvement, I will push myself and be ready to write the exam in second semester especially because I would like to join the course BIO 103 to proceed to major in Biotechnology. I don't have all my documentation because I am back home for the break but I could get it from the hospital, Tess Grant, and Dr. Nguyen is able to verify everything I have said in this email, along with my family Doctor, Dr. Brian Peoples.¿
