Petition Letter: To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to request a return to studies after a requirement to withdraw for three years.The two biggest obstacles to my initial success at Queens were a lack of drive, and poor time management. During my time away from Queens, I started working as a part time employee for lululemon athletica. Over the past three years, I have achieved three promotions and currently work as a Product Analyst for their corporate headquarters.I believe this showcases my drive for success, something I was truthfully lacking upon beginning my studies at Queens. As an Analyst, my role is filled with daily deadlines that have enforced the importance of time management. In order to achieve my current role, especially without a degree, I began to educate myself in my free time. This included reading industry reports, attending lectures, and practicing excel modeling. Besides my career, I have also sought out counselling services to address my depression and acquire the tools to manage it.

1.) Currently on leave from a BA in SOCY.
2.) Appealing to transition to an Online BA in Psychology
3.) Will begin by retaking prerequisite courses that I under performed in.
Part Time Student
1.) Will take 1 online course during my first term back at Queens. This will let me integrate schooling into my schedule.
2.) Will continue with a lighter course load.
Strategies for Success
1.) Work bi-weekly with a tutor in order to hold me accountable to essay deadlines.
2.) I will continue at my current job as it gives me structure and keeps me motivated. I will be able to come into the office 1.5 hours early each morning to work from my desk. As my work supports my continuing education, twice weekly I will be permitted to finish my workday at 4:00pm ( allowing me to complete 4 hours of homework). This amounts to 15.5 hours of study during the week, with a additional time being available to me on the weekends.
