Dear Associate Dean (Studies)
I am appealing the requirement to withdraw for one year due to medical extenuating circumstances.
Last year I was required to travel to Toronto many times, due to an accident in Toronto. I had several injuries including the loss of four teeth. It was necessary to have a number of dental interventions. I have had continued pain since the accident and I also had to travel to Toronto for my medical care. As this became onerous, I ended up cancelling that therapy and as a consequence, I always felt uncomfortable, which impacted both my studies and my life in general. With the loss of teeth, I felt very self-conscious to the point I did not want to be with friends. I just stayed my room other than going to class. I was different due to my sound, pronunciation, mental status and felt very fearful and very isolated. I have continued to be in a dispute with my traffic accident compensation which is very tiring. I needed to advance my dental payment and the financial strain of this has been very difficult.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: For my academic plan, my dental surgery will end of December 2018 and I will choose some elective courses and retake required courses. For next semester, I will select Film110 , Math 126, Econ111, Music P52 and repair again my Math 111. I will also improve my study quality and improve my note taking in class. Problems, if any, should be solved without delay. I will plan regular consultations with my professor, and get help, for example if I have an operation,I will email my professor and ask what we learned at that time I missed, then I will preview my lessons. I should spend more time to learn my study in library, not stay at my room. I will plan and schedule to balance my study and rehabilitation therapy. In this summer, I am back in Toronto and I will talk with Therapy Center, I need apply for my therapy again and told them I want to do therapy in Kingston. For my dental I will ask them if I can come to Saturday it will be better, I have to actively cooperate with my therapy. For traffic accident compensation, I will work with my lawyer and strive for all my compensation. I should stand up to my problems, I cannot run away from the facts. I will find a therapist to help me be to be better. I pledge I will work hard and follow my academic plan.
