Petition Letter: To Whomever this may concern,
My name is Sydney Quach and I'm a third year Con Ed student. Over the course of the summer of 2014, I took a FILM 260 course. One of the assignments given to us required that we create a power point and post it onto a website called Slideshare in order to post the link and format to Moodle. My computer was having many technical difficulties with this website and would refuse to upload content to the site. The loading screen would remain for hours without any sign of movement. This was likewise for my home computer. Nearing the deadline, I e-mailed the professor Sidney Matrix with an attachment of the completed assignment as proof that I had completed it and was having difficulties with the site. I had also asked for suggestions as to how I would go about submitting this assignment as she had required. I received a reply the following morning telling me that the assignment could not be accepted through e-mail and that I would have to find a way to submit the assignment regardless. Because of this, I was given a failing grade on a finished assignment because it had not been submitted in the correct way. I would like to appeal for this assignment to be assessed as I require a higher grade in this class in order to continue with my program. I hope that you will considered my appeal for this course as I feel I was unfairly graded. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you in the future.
