Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Academic Plan: This switch of classes will help me as I need to take a lighter course load. Moving to a new place and starting university is very difficult and there are more adjustments to make than I was prepared for. I did not anticipate being this overwhelmed, and because of this, I need to lighten my course load. Lightening my course load will allow me to cope with all the challenges that come along with moving to a university that are not just academic. I have ADD and because of this, I get more overwhelmed than the average person, and cannot create an action plan to get back on track. In order to maintain a healthy mental state I need to allocate time to cope with my stress and that is not available with my current heavy course load. I would greatly appreciate it if I was allowed to switch courses as it is necessary for my well being.
