Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am trying to get the 6 credit course DEVS 410 that I completed in 2014 on my transcript. The course requires enrollment by the department. I applied and sent in my supporting documents required to be entered into the course to the professor, Paritosh Kumar who then forwarded them to the department coordinator- this has been confirmed. The DEVS coordinator claims that she was unable to add me at the time of enrollment due to a hold on my SOLUS account, however, after going through each and every email I have received from her in the last year it is clear that I was not notified of this and thus given no opporunity to rectify the situation. As the DEVS coordinator has not been able to supply email proof that I was contacted in regards to the SOLUS hold, I feel that the 50 appeal fee is unjustified and after discussion with Haley Everson at the Faculty of Arts and Science she has advised me to ask for a refund of my appeal fee due to the administrative delay.
