Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
I previously applied for academic accommodation for POLS250 due to being ill for a week, and not being able to attend classes or do class work. I did not apply to any other accommodations as I wanted to take responsibility and believed I was capable of finishing my ARTH 292 assignment. And although I was able to finish that assignment, I do not believe it is an accurate representation of my work as a student. I was unwell, and not able to do the assignment to the best of my ability.
After receiving my grade back today, it was quite obvious that I had not done my finest work. I discussed with professor Romba possible ways to improve my mark, and she prompted me to contact academic advising. I will need the academic council's permission in order to redo my assignment.
Professor Romba has the copy to my marked paper as she wanted to keep it for reference in the event that I am able to redo the assignment.
