Petition Letter: To Whom it May Concern,
I am writing to appeal to be able to take a course load of above 18 units for the Winter 2019 semester. I am hoping to be able to take a total of 21 units for the winter semester in order to complete my requirements to graduate my program. My reasoning for doing so is not due to having failed any courses and instead comes from the fact that I also am apart of a certificate program (Certificate in Business) and am required to take 2 courses per year from their selection. These courses do not count towards my Arts degree however and so I am needing to take a higher course load in order to make up for the courses I have taken that do not count towards my degree. I am currently just below a 3.0 total GPA and I believe I would be able to succeed int taking a higher course load.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: My academic plan is to stay on top of my course work in terms of class attendance and readings done. I am prepared to work efficiently and complete my due diligence in starting assignments well ahead of the due dates in order to maintain my busy schedule. I plan to keep a timely schedule and reach out to academic support whenever I feel that I must in order to succeed in my coursework.
