Petition Letter: Dear ¿Faculty of Arts and Science:
My name is Yinuo An, I am the first year student who is studying computer science. I am appealing to drop CISC101 2018 Fall.
Fall term 2018 is my first term in university, and I am really upset since I knew I¿got a failure in CISC101 because of the failure of my final.¿I am an international¿student who comes from China, and I don't have any coding experience before.¿ I really tried to learn to code but I admit I still have a lot to learn, that's also why I spent the whole Christmas¿holiday staying in Kingston and reviewing CISC101.¿
¿ ¿ ¿My total grades are: assignment 12.8/20; 13.71/20; final 17.5/45; homework 3.21/5; short assignment6.67/10, the total should be 50.68/100 but because¿the final mark I got a failure. I reflected a lot and I wish that I can drop this mark and study much harder to improve my GPA.
I do realize that I should adjust myself a lot, I should try my best to get better marks. My problem is that I am too shy to communicate with the professor, so next term I will talk with the professor at least twice a week and solve all the problems on time.
I wish I can drop this course and I believe that I can get a great mark.
