Petition Letter: My name is Haley Sturrock and I am a con-ed arts student in first year at the Bader International Study Centre. I unfortunately missed the last day to add a course as I was unaware of the deadline. My goal was to add GEOL104 to my course schedule as it is extremely important for my degree. One of my two teachable's in my BEd is geography. As a result of conflicting schedules last semester I was not able to take the original geography course making this my first course relevant to my teachable. Not being enrolled in this course will drastically hurt my 5 year plan. Since the beginning of the winter term, I have attended all GEOL104 classes, and I am fully and completely on top of the course. I have already received permission and a signature from my professor, allowing my transfer into his class. I believe I can strive in this course, and not being enrolled as a result of missing the deadline will be extremely detrimental to my degree.
Once again, this course is essential for my 5-year plan and not being able to take it would leave a large mark in my ability to complete my degree as planned. Taking this course will allow me to declare my major and teachable's at the end of this year.
If there is anything that can be done it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Haley Sturrock
