Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
At the beginning of this semester, I was enrolled in Spanish 111, thinking there would be no problems with this choice. However, as I attended the first class, I was told that I was not to take the course had I taken any prior credits in the course. Knowing this, I went and spoke to some of the Spanish Profs, were thought it were appropriate to put me in Spanish 205. As I was switching into that course, it was not allowing me to. After thinking for a while, I had thought the holds on my account at the time were at the root of this problem. After waiting in total around 6-7ish days, I found out that wasn't the cause of the problem, but rather my ignorance to see that it was at the same time as another class I was taking. By the time I had made this realization and tried to take action up that, the deadline has just passed. By the time I had started contacting different offices at the school, the phone would either not lead me to any sort of menu or it was outside office hours. On wednesday-saturaday previous, I was on a Queen's trip to Ottawa for Queens Model Parliament, and by then, had totally forgotten about my previous dillema. This is why now, and only now, have I finally been able to find the right portal to contact you regarding my current problem.
I have been keeping up with this course since the beginning of week 3, but have not been able to attend labs for as I was not technically enrolled.
Thankyou for all your help,
Arthur Arnold
