Petition Letter: To Whom It May Concern,
I have been speaking with my Professor. I am seeking to drop the Psych 100 course and re-register for spring/summer term.
I have fallen behind due to anxiety and stress. My family and I lost 4 people in the last 2 years, my mother is bipolar and leaned heavily on me. This has been resolved with supports and I can see my trend of overcommitting to community work and using it as a distraction when anxious. I fear failing or not doing well. I then procrastinate and do not hand the assignments in on time.
The supports, and ability to see my tendencies allows me to focus my energy better. My supports include a councillor, friends, a partner, and family who will care more for my mother.
I will be focused and request the opportunity to re start in the spring term please.
