Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am appealing in order to be able to drop Canadian English (LING 202) after the drop deadline. Due to reasons for which I have academic accommodations, I feel that continuing in this course would not only negatively affect my health and wellbeing, but would also negatively affect my performance in the other courses I am enrolled in. I feel this course specifically is one that is negatively affecting me is partly because of the workload that is still required of me in order to complete it, a workload I do not think I am able to complete, and definitely not to the best of my ability or without severely impacting my wellbeing. I have a current letter of accommodations for an ongoing condition which has recently been exacerbated, leading to this decision.
