Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am writing this appeal to drop this course at this late date for an emergency. During the fall term my father was struck by a car while walking, causing horrible injuries including broken ribs and an open break in the leg in multiple spots. After multiple surgeries and healing his recovery was finally getting on track in february until recently when he was diagnosed with a staph infection. Usually they are treatable but after multiple surgeries it will not go away. After losing multiple family members to staph infections such as this i am in a hurry to get home to my family. This course has an exam 10 days after my second to last exam. After the distraction and stress as well as guilt this has caused had lead me to ask for a chance to drop the course and return to my family.
