Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I have been having issues relating to mental health and have subsequently not participated in two of my courses. As my grades in those courses are critically low, I reached out to my Professor (who teaches both courses) for a retroactive withdrawal. These courses are PHIL 271 and PHIL 351. The professor is Dr Deborah Knight, who has sent an email in support of my appeal. My goal is to withdraw retroactively from these courses without a negative impact on my overall academics. I have gone to counselling and have been offered to be given an accommodations letter if that becomes necessary.
