Petition Letter: To Whom It May Concern
Beginning in winter of 2018 and continuing until the end of the term in 2019, I, Jacob ¿¿Tiz¿ MacKenzie, had been experiencing a severe mental health issue that had prevented me from attending my classes and thus keeping up with my coursework. I have now acquired accommodations through QSAS that I believe will prevent issues from arising again, and am receiving counseling and medication for my general day-to-day wellbeing. Under these new circumstances, I plan to begin anew in the fall term of 2019; but in order to do so I am requesting to drop the courses i fell so far behind in. Given the medication, counselling, and accommodations, I can succeed in the academic environment as well as any other student. Please allow me to drop my courses so that I can regain my footing.
