Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: As a result of receiving a failing grade in the required Political Studies statistic course (POLS385) I need to take another statistics course in the summer in order to satisfy the requirements of my degree before continuing on to my postgraduate studies. I missed the add deadline on May 10th because I did not receive my failing grade until May 8th, and was not aware that taking BIOL243 was a satisfactory option until I was told by my undergraduate chair on May the 10th. Once aware, I emailed Julie French to add me to the course. She told me to add the course on SOLUS, but as a graduating student I do not have access to adding courses. Thus, I failed to enroll in the course before the deadline as I was first unaware, then unable.
