Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you as I am stuck here in limbo. I was informed that I did not meet the requirements to continue, yet I am already enrolled in a class that I have been actively working in, and am also not allowed to drop.
Let me give you some background; I am an old stay-at-home Mom and decided to take courses in an effort to learn more about subjects that I am interested in. I very much enjoy learning. In September I started PSYC100. I bit off more than I can chew. Regardless, I felt determined to finish this class no matter the outcome. I did, and I am proud of that.
In said class I did not do well. I collapsed in the exams. I did not pass the class due to this. I have no other circumstances to blame, I simply bit off more than I can chew. Now I know.
When the Spring term ended I contacted the ¿¿Arts & Sciences Online/Continuing¿ office asking what happens now as I knew I needed to meet the 1.6 GPA and I did not. No one really knew how to help past saying if I haven¿¿t received word that I am not enrolled, I am enrolled. I made the decision to retake said course.
I received a letter yesterday letting me know that I did not meet criteria. As I am currently in a class, how do I continue. I cannot drop it, yet am not supposed to continue.
If I could write the script of what happens, I would continue this class. I do not deserve a ¿¿mulligan¿ but would really appreciate one. I really enjoy taking classes and learning something new.
How do I proceed If I am asked to leave, how do I arrange the return of my fees (does this include e-text purchase) Until I hear on how to proceed, I do plan to continue retaking this class. I truly do enjoy it. While I hope that I can continue, I respect the choice should I not be able to.
Thank you for your time.
Erin Rezner
P.S. Should I not be allowed to continue at Queen¿¿s, please point me in the direction of another school with online courses.
