Petition Letter: Metastatic Cancer diagnosed in July 2018
Major surgery with 1 month recovery in October 2018
Radioactive Iodine treatment (high dose) in December 2018
January-May 2019- Major side effects of radioactive iodine treatment (cognitive fog, fatigue, inability to concentrate)
Sudden death of Partner March 15th, 2019.
I started the semester under the impression that these side effects would be manageable, and made some requests for accommodations with my professors, thinking I would be able to catch up on my work with these accommodations, but after the sudden death of my partner I realised that my grief combined with the side effects of my treatment made catching up enough to submit all coursework before the end of semester impossible. This was unfortunately passed the drop deadline.
