Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
My name is Austin Ward and have currently been enrolled in Econ 110 in my first year at Queen's University. I would like to pursue a major in Economics. I mistakenly dropped Econ 110 B for the winter semester 2015 on November 27th in an attempt to enroll in a different section of this course to make my schedule more suitable. I tried to reenroll in the course a number of times which then led me to talk to the student service centre. I had no prior knowledge that I needed to stay in the same section for both semesters of the course and also was unaware of any academic deadline dates. By not being able to continue in Econ 110 B will result in me not being able to declare my major for second year due to the fact that Econ 110 is a requirement. I have contacted Professor Ian Cromb and he said that he will contact the Faculty of Arts and Science directly in order to confirm that I have been attending class and completing the assignments. This is a mistake that I have a learned from and apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you,
Austin Ward

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: My academic plan for my time here at Queen's is to achieve good marks in all my first year courses in order to meet the requirements I need to major in Economics. I plan to achieve this by attending all of my lectures and doing my assignments to the best of my ability. I also tend to learn from the mistakes I have made when selecting courses and to do more research into when the key academic dates are.
