Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: My appeal is regarding the addition of MICR 452, taught by Dr. Bruce Banfield and Dr. Katrina Gee, after the last official date for adding a class. I am currently being supported by my father and recently he has had cash flow difficulties. As a result, the full fall tuition was payed on October 16, 2019 which was after the deadline of September 1, 2019. The resulting hold on my account prevented me from being added MICR 452, despite being number 1 on the waitlist. It is my understanding that the class capacity is 40 students and there are only 39 enrolled. Therefore, despite not being enrolled in the class I have attended every lecture and have done every assessment, including the classes midterm, in hopes that once the financial issues were amended, I would be able to be added to the course without any issues.
