Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I have recently attempted to apply to graduate and have realized upon looking back at my credits and grades that there is an issue. My grade for FILM 460 reads F. However, this is not the grade my professors for this course rewarded me. Emails were exchanged around the time of my work being graded and I was told that I had received a grade of B- for the final project meaning I would successfully pass the course. I had thought because of the confirmation in this email that I had received a grade and had passed the course I had nothing to worry about. When I went back to attempt to apply for graduation I realized that the professors hadn't properly submitted my grade in this course. I have been emailing appropriate people and have recently had Professor Frances Leeming tell me that action is taking place to change this to the correct grade. At this point I have been met with an emailing telling me that because it is too far after the fact I need to submit this appeal to have the grade changed to the correct grade. I am hoping that this issue can be resolved so that I can receive my passing grade and successfully graduate. To disclose any extenuating circumstances that may have affected this issue being dragged on longer then it should have, I suffer from very intense anxiety which effects my ability to confidently act quickly on issues.
