Petition Letter: Dear who it may concern,
My name is Yuan Liu and I am a fifth year student in biology and mathematics specialization. I am retaking BIOL243 this semester because I did not do well in 2016 fall semester. I got refused for masters this spring so I am taking an extra semester wishing to boost up my GPA, for I am trying again this year for both Canadian and United States schools. I am retaking a few courses and preparing for GRE right now. I missed some quizzes and tutorial because I have been travelling to Ottawa and Toronto for my GRE tests. My GRE scores were not satisfying. I realized that I need to be more focused on preparing GRE while my school work has been taking up a lot of my time. I realized that my GPA will not change a lot even if I get all A+s on all the courses that I am retaking right now. Thus I want to drop BIOL243 and be more focused on GRE preparation. My next GRE test is on Dec. 6 and getting a 325+ GRE score might be the savoir for applying masters. I know now it is too late and already after the last drop deadline. I did not plan my time well and underestimated the time input of GRE test preparation. This is my final chance and final semester of undergraduate. I made lots of mistakes in the past years. I really want to try my best to make up for my past faults. I have already emailed my instructor William Nelson and got his approval of dropping BIOL243. Therefore I am genuinely asking you to give me the permission to drop BIOL243. Your help will be much appreciated.
