Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am registered with Disability Services and spoke with an advisor there because I was falling behind with my coursework due to challenges with my mental health. The advisor, and my psychiatrist, both agreed that I should reduce my course load because I was having difficulty focusing and completing projects on time. I was having the most difficulty with ENGL 237, specifically the end of term essay. I made a plan to attempt to drop that course so that I could focus on the other corse I was taking in the fall term that is more relevant to my program. I have also taken ENGL 237 previously with a passing grade.
