Petition Letter
Petition Letter: I was not in the right state of mind during the week of January 13th, 2020, as a friend's father who I was close with had been sick and has just recently passed. I have been overwhelmed and have not been able to go to my therapist who I have been seeing for the past two months, so I was not able to discuss my feelings and return to my calm state of mind. This being said, I missed the last add/drop date (January 17th, 2020) as I was suffering from severe anxiety attacks and was unable to think clearly. I wanted to drop my Geography 227 course and take up another Law course (Law 203) as that is the field I wish to pursue in the future, while geography is not.
Academic Plan
Academic Plan: If my appeal is granted I will make it a fact to continue to see my therapist to help me cope with my feelings so that this doesn't hinder my academic success in the future. By taking Law 203 I will be able to expand my knowledge about the field I wish to pursue, while staying on my academic track (having 5 courses this semester). Thank you for your consideration.
