Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Hello,

I have consistently been under mental distress for weeks. I was rooming with my brother for several years, but we had a falling out over longstanding issues between him and me and my mother over things like favouritism, money and my father's death in 2016. It came to the point that I had to move out way earlier than I intended too. I am staying with family until I can move into my new place on May 1st. The stress of constant squabbling, fractious fighting for weeks and having to move short notice has caused me to only limp by in my studies. I am doing fine in subjects that I am comfortable with like history, but not with subjects like statistics which are taxing for my learning disability (QSAS registered). I can't absorb the content. I am planning on switching part of my academic plan, so statistics will no longer be a requirement to graduate anyway. I have a disability, so I only need a 40 percent course load, so OSAP won't be a problem. I may be currently passing, barely, but I don't have the mental energy to pass the pass or fail exam while giving enough attention to my other courses. It would relieve an immense amount of stress if I could drop it.

Best, Cade Jackson Cowan.
