Hi Natasha,
In order to drop the course, the Faculty of Arts & Science requires that you to submit an online appeal, since the add/drop deadline passed quite some time ago. Neither Scott MacKenzie nor I have the authority to drop you from the course, unfortunately. That¿¿s handled by Arts & Science at this late stage.
Since Jenn Stephenson is away, I contacted Chris DeWolfe at the Faculty of Arts & Science and confirmed with him that you won¿¿t be required to pay the 60 fee associated with the online appeal. He said you should go ahead and submit the appeal without paying the fee and they will receive the appeal without issue. In the appeal itself, if you would prefer not to write about the issues you encountered that have made dropping the course necessary, you can simply write that they should ¿¿review the attached documentation.¿ I recommend that you attach a pdf of this email chain and perhaps also one of the email chains between you and Barb. Please also consider writing that they should reach out to Barb, Scott, or myself if they would like more information in support of your appeal. We would each be happy to help in order to prevent you having to explain your situation again.
