Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
This letter is to inform you of my appeal to drop PSYC 100. I understand the deadline has passed, but I am unable to keep up with the work due to personal reasons. I have missed 7 labs and unfortunately I understand that this means I have automatically failed the course. I am disappointed in myself for being unable to keep up with the work but due to extenuating circumstances, I can no longer continue nor do I want a failed course on my schedule. I look forward to registering for the fall semester and continuing my studies with you, but for now I believe it is best for me to focus on my family.
