Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
I am requesting to drop MUSC 171 from the summer 2020 semester past the drop deadline. I made the decision to enroll in this course as I was laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but after the start date I was called back into work in excess of 40 hours per week. As a student studying with disability I have really struggled with balancing these obligations, and do not feel that I have been able to perform as well as I would have under normal circumstances. I did not expect to have so little time, but tried to push through as best I could. I did not want to quit without trying, but now I am realizing it is in my best options to request to drop this course. I am hoping to be able to reduce my work schedule in the fall to focus some more time and energy on finishing my credits. I would be forever grateful if granted this late drop, but I understand whatever the decision is. I have been in contact with the course instructor to determine best course of action as well.
