Re: APPEAL for Class Enrolment
Dear Dean,
I am hoping to get some help with a mistake that occurred. I am a first year student enrolled in Economics.
I had recently dropped out of MATH 120 and switched into MATH 121. Prior to doing so SOLUS had stated that I must drop my course first then apply into the desired course. I had made sure there was still room in MATH 121 before dropping MATH 120 so as to be sure that I would not drop a course and not be successful in switching into my next course.
I had been accepted into MATH 121 but, I was no longer able to attend the times the classes had been set. I browsed the times for the other MATH 121 classes and found one that now fit my updated schedule. I went to make sure there was still alibility in the course so as not to make the mistake of dropping the MATH 121 course and there not being any room in the new class. There was room and Solus had instructed me to drop the course and apply into the new course. The time was 12:17 a.m on September 22.
I dropped my course and when I went to apply into the same course with a different time Solus now said I was unable to perform this action. Solus never gave any type of information that I could not switch courses anymore and it had instructed me to drop a course without informing me I could no longer add a new course. I was completely unaware there was now a drop deadline in place.
I am asking that you reinstate me into my dropped course or preferably help me with my transfer into the desired class with Prof. Day.
As a first-year, I followed the prompts given and have now run into a serious issue. I won¿¿t make this mistake again, but am in urgent need of assistance to save my current course load.
Need to reinstate -

Dear Sir,
I am hoping to get some help with a mistake that occurred. I am a first year student enrolled in Economics.
I had recently made some changes in my math course (switched out of MATH 120 and switched into MATH 121). Then I wanted to make a change to the time for the MATH 121 class, and found one that now fit my updated schedule. I went to make sure there was still availability in the course so as not to make the mistake of dropping the MATH 121 course and there not being any room in the new class. There was room and Solus had instructed me to drop the course and apply into the new course.
I dropped my course and when I went to apply into the same course with a different time Solus now said I was unable to perform this action. Solus never gave any type of information that I could not switch courses anymore and it had instructed me to drop a course without informing me I could no longer add a new course.
So I am no longer registered in Math 121 and this course is core to my plan for my Economics major. I am asking that you reinstate me into my dropped course or preferably help me with my transfer into the desired class with Prof. Day.
As a first-year, I followed the prompts given and have now run into a serious issue. I have since spoken to an academic advisor and gone over the importance of understanding and respecting deadlines prior to making any registration adjustments. I am in urgent need of assistance to save my current course load.
Thank you for your understanding and assistance. Please contact me as soon as an outcome is available.
