Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Dear the Department of Development Studies,
I am writing to you today to ask to be enrolled into DEVS 358 (NGO policy and planning). I had tried to enrol into this course at the beginning of the enrolment period but would not let me in stating it was reserved for students in other faculties I am a devs major so I should have been able to enrol into this course. As I continued to try the course ended up filling up. I had sent an email to the admissions office and was told to choose another course because this one had filled up. I have continued to check on this courses status to see if enough people have dropped it that I would be able to enrol into it. I had checked yesterday (September 21) and it was open but again, would not let me enrol. I am hoping you will be able to enrol me into this course. I am extremely interested in this course and it is the career path I would like to take after graduation and was quite upset when I was not granted enrolment. I have a few friends in this course as well and with online school I believe it is important to have a sense of community during this time. I believe I can be successful in this course as it is something I am very interested inI am hoping to be considered to be enrolled into this course.
Thank you for your consideration,
Brittney Barclay

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: This course is something I am very interested in and enjoy reading about outside of school. I believe I can do well in this course and I will be able to learn a lot from Dr. Cordoba. I plan to work very hard in this course given I am enrolled into it and believe I will be successful at the end of the term.
