My name is Meghan Soares and I am in my final year of studies, currently completing my Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. Unfortunately, I missed the deadline to add/drop courses for the fall 2020 term by one day. As such, I unknowingly dropped one of my fall-term courses earlier today (September 22, 2020). Now, having realized my mistake, I am enrolled in only four courses in the fall term and subsequently enrolled in six courses in the winter term in attempt to mitigate this mistake and ensure that I will graduate in the spring.
I am apprehensive to take six courses next term as I feel this would severely hinder my academic results. I hope to graduate this spring, and I would not like to enroll in a course during the summer term. Thus, I am writing to you today in hopes to rectify my mistake. On September 22, 2020 I dropped PHIL 273: Continental Philosophy in hopes to enroll in an elective instead. After dropping this course, I was unable to enroll in the elective ENIN 140: Design Thinking. If possible, I would like to be enrolled ENIN 140 for the fall 2020 term.
In spring 2019, I was diagnosed with ADHA inattentive type through the Queen¿¿s Regional Assessment and Resource Centre; with consideration to this, I believe that a six-course workload will significantly impede on my ability to focus and therefore learn. Therefore if there was any way my mistake could be rectified so that I can be in five courses per term as originally planned, it would be greatly appreciated.
