Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you to ask to waive the deadline for my academic appeal for my summer course Psychology 100.
During this summer, I experienced a mental health breakdown for multiple weeks. I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks. I was unable to submit some course work during this time and failed as a result.
Due to continuation of my anxiety, I was unable to bring myself to check the mark until very recently. I realize now that I should have contacted you earlier but was truly unable to. The thought of failing overwhelmed me.
Happily, I have seeked help through the Queen¿¿s Wellness Centre and my doctor. I am hoping that the professor will let me complete outstanding assignments or whatever they feel appropriate to get a passing grade.
