Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean,
I am writing this letter to you to kindly request a Credit Standing (CR) on BIOL 205, which I was enrolled in during the fall term. My health condition encumbered my ability to perform academically which in turn detrimentally affected my grades.
For the past few months, including the very recent fall term, I experienced several health complications which severely affected my academic performance. My health deteriorated up to the point where I was unable to concentrate on my academic affairs. I developed poor eating habits, lack of concentration, and overall a loss in cognitive ability. As a result, I was unable to achieve a grade in BIOL 205 which I felt I deserved, despite my tenacity and hard work. Furthermore, the grade I received greatly hinders my chances towards progressing in my respective field in my academic career.
As for the winter term, I have constantly called upon help from doctors. I have begun efforts to improve my condition, with the help of my doctor, which I believe will allow to me excel both in university and life.
