Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: The appeal is regarding Discussion 1 forum for PSYC 251
The rubric has been included to refer to and as the assignment had 2 parts, an initial post and reply post.
For the reply post as it was just a write-up on the discussions:

As you can see that I have included a screenshot of the task required as well but everything was completed successfully. It was an open discussion-based interview as it was to interview any women that was or is pregnant and willing to be interviewed. It is to note that it does not require the person to be of a specific amount of background knowledge and could be anyone. I initially did have some issues finding someone for the interview as some were not willing to but then did find someone that answered to the best they could. My job specifically to note their answers and summarize the information. From the initial post as the rubric has given only a 3/5, it is to be noted that I answered all the questions to be asked. I reflected on them accordingly and had references given back to support the ideas. It is to keep in mind that it was to respect the person that gave time or what they chose to answer. The person interviewed did respond well but I couldn¿¿t judge them that they I want more explanations or ask them things that they did not know of. I see that when the professor did include someone¿¿s 5/5 response, it was very similar to mine but just some things seemed extended. Likewise coming from the person interviewed that they just happen to know more and considering that they were pregnant at that time. The person I interviewed was pregnant many years ago so that plays a role, I also kept it real as some parts since they were able to use some references from the book seemed unrealistic that the person they interviewed knew all that information too. That aspect needs to be reviewed as to keep it open mind that even though the person I interviewed did well that you can not the grading on the type of person you found as just because they know a little more that they get a higher grade.

Further, the second part consisted, ¿¿reply post¿. I had to respond to 2 of my peers which I had done so, I followed the paragraph format and responded to all of their write-up with analysis, comparing similarities and differences. I saw that my rubric got graded in terms of I had responded to less than 2 peers which is invalid, I also had many of the above points rather type of reply posts but was only given 3 points. I was later told by professor that it does not mean if you responded to two that it will be considered as two. That was very strange as nor were my replies invalid and surely I fit into the higher point category since I had two. It was again an open discussion that I couldn¿¿t judge my peers in ways that I responded accordingly to what they wrote. I checked the outline itself and even questions asked by others and no where did it ever mention that even two responses may not count as two. It seemed to be a sudden hidden rule that came out of nowhere that was invalid.
