Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
I am a 4th year returning mature student, set to complete my general B.A. this summer. For some reason unknown to me, my Solus account, leading up to Jan.16th, was showing that I actually had 3 more credits than I needed. Upon realizing this, I inquired in student services about this unexpected change, and ended up dropping the elective (Hist 257) that I was taking. The person I talked to told me that when you repeat courses, as I had last semester, the system sometimes takes a while to figure it all out. Last week, my Solus changed again, now displaying what is apparently accurate; that I have 9 credits left before I can graduate. I have the time to take 4 courses this semester, and the money for the course is still in my account, so i would like to re-add Hist 257, to put myself in a better position to complete my degree and work part time this summer.
I realize it is quite late in the semester now, and I have not had access to the Moodle account to see what I have missed, but if I remember correctly the majority of the evaluation is late in the term, I have only really missed 2 lectures.
If it is acceptable I would like to re-add Hist 257 in order to better support myself this coming year, the only reason I dropped it was due to the status of my Solus account, and I would like to take the time I have this semester to complete more than 3 courses.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: I have only missed a 2-3 lectures, and feel that I am still in a great position to be successful in this course and get a head start on completing my B.A. this year. I have no doubt that I will be able to jump right back in and continue this course, I am only taking 3 at the moment and have more than enough time to complete the requirements. I will be in class this afternoon and will be talking to Mrs. Hill about all that I may have missed, and will be making preparations to catch up as soon as I have access to the Moodle page again. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to re-add this course and can provide assurance that I will be able to be successful this term.
