Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Due to the recent passing of professor Arthur Steward. One of my classes (ECON 241) got cancelled. Later on we were put on waitlists for classes, but they gave priority to those in fourth year. I was under the impression however that I would be able to get into the two classes on the waitlist, since the professors had emailed me saying they hoped to take all students on the waitlist and were confident I would be able to get in. It was not until Saturday morning, the day after the add date that we came to the realization that the Economics department had chosen to give priority to graduating students. Leaving me with 2 less classes, than planned. Therefore I hope to be able to add these classes, and be able to have a full course load. I am happy to provide emails with the professors that illusirate the miscommunication that occurred. If I knew I was not going to be able to get into ECON 243, & 290, as planned I would have added two classes on the Friday the 22nd instead.
