Petition Letter: My name is Xiaoyao Feng, student number 20119674. I am requesting to change a letter grade to a CR.
I am an Asian international student. During the winter term, severe depression and anxiety got me. Last time this happened was two years ago, due to my grandfather's death and stresses in life.
It was this year's February that I got it again. I struggled and managed to keep learning in between depression's onsets, but the result was not good.
During March, I got a severe fever. That made the situation worse. I only managed to finish parts of all assignments and tests.
After reached out to advisors and counselor, having a CR grade seem to be my best chance. I cannot be sure my family's economic conditions can support me finish the undergraduate study otherwise.

I am a Chinese Asian international student. During this harsh year, I stayed in Kingston, half an earth away from home, strive to learn and live with the pandemic. In the winter term, I got severe depression and anxiety, the second time. I got it for the first time during my first year in Queens.
It was February that I got it again. Understanding the results of failing courses, I did not want to give up so easily.I struggled but only managed to finish parts of all assignments and tests.
