Petition Letter: My name is Xiaoyao Feng, student number 20119674. I am requesting to change a letter grade to a CR.
I am a Chinese Asian international student. During this harsh year, I stayed in Kingston, half an earth away from home, strive to learn and live with the pandemic. In the winter term, I got severe depression and anxiety, the second time. I got it for the first time during my first year in Queens.
It was February that I got it again. Understanding the results of failing courses, I did not want to give up so easily. However, curses kept hit on me. During March, I got a severe fever. I was often unable to focus on works, feeling sluggish and sometimes world-weary. I only managed to finish parts of all assignments and tests.
After talking with advisors and counselor,a CR grade seem to be my only hope.
