Petition Letter: Hello,
RE: PHIL 203
I saw that for this course it was weighed very differently as the quizzes were very short and questionable at times but worth a lot. I also did miss out on 1 quiz and due to the other structure was not feeling this course throughout. I did miss the drop deadline at the time as from early March at the time, I had a personal matter go on. I have attached proof of psychologist appointments on March 4 & March 6 that show that I was busy elsewhere rather. I was not expecting the grade to go this way either when I did continue to resume the course. I feel it is fair and best option to go with is to remove off the grade and just receive the credit only for this course. Thank you.
RE PSYC 305
I wanted to request just a pass credit for psyc 305 as the main issue comes from missing out on some activities due to personal matters I had that I was able to seek psychologist help for and recover. I noticed that the activities weighed 50 of the course and missing out on 4-5 of them, greatly impacted my grade. I did pass the course and overall, I got 77.5 on the final exam and about 85 on total quizzes in the course. It shows that my potential was much different and now with academic consideration team requesting certain information from my psychologist even though I have given proof, I do not wish to touch up with my psychologist as of course every matter is serious. The professor was fair with me and supported me in either handing in the assignments or whichever process was allowed to do better in the course. I have provided proof of that and rather than jumping back into the course now and working on activities and also considering how things may still appear. I feel the best option is to just take the credits for the course without a grade showing. If you check my psychologist help timings, it was right around the timing of course drop deadline and the appeal for requesting credit only for a course. It sort of looked like a fog for me back then although as you can see the final exam, I came back in doing really well. Thank you
