Petition Letter: I had an accident at the end of November, beginning December, a brain injury; I fell and was diagnosed with a fracture, contusions, hematoma, and a concussion. I was put on bed rest, but due to my grandmother's death at the same time, I could not. My healing process is continuing; Doctors are not sure what the long-term effects may be, but I have slowed down, concepts take a longer time to understand, my eyesight weakened, and there is ongoing ringing in my ears. My brain does not respond to stress very well and pressure anymore. I tend to hyperventilate at small things hence why I could not and cannot give my best academically, and it allowed me to miss much work and could not perform well in my courses, especially 210.
