Petition Letter: I am appealing to waive the one-term deadline to appeal to drop a pair of Fall courses (POLS 367 and SOCY 306). In April 2021, I had made an attempt to switch a medication I was prescribed for Bipolar 1 following a March 2020 hospitalization. I did this with my psychiatrist's knowledge. Unfortunately, it was unsuccessful and this led to a cascade that badly worsened my condition. I was not in any state to worry about anything but my mental health during this period.
I am in the process of filing a tuition amendment appeal so I can return and finally conclude my studies but I must appeal these Fall courses for any hope of returning. I am well now. Thank you for your consideration.
