Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: From the time the course finished to the beginning on January, my life my was still being affected by my mental health without me knowing it. Coming back from winter break, I seeked for a health counsellor at the La salle building to discuss my issues from first semester and ways to resolve the problem. From the beginning of January to this present day, I am continuing to visit the health counsellor with the support of a peer mentor for my academics. As I started to recover through the weeks, I became more concerned about my GPA due to my ambitions to go to graduate school in the future and the requirements they seek. I visited an academic advisor to discuss my situation regarding my GPA to which she stated about applying for a possible academic appeal for fall semester 2014. I had no prior knowledge of an academic appeal system or the existence of it, therefore I am seeking to waive the 21-day appeal deadline due to no prior knowledge of the system and also due to prioritizing the recovery of my mental health.
